Poudre Canyon with snow

This is from inside Sammy and Bill's house in Poudre Canyon, Rocky Mountains. We are looking out the window because we saw mountain goats.

Jeff and Laura.

Bill, Jeff and I went for a walk on the morning of the 24th.

There was a thin layer of snow all over the place.

It was pretty cold, but the sun ws out and there was no wind.

Margrethe in the snow.

his picture is from right underneath the house. The river was all frozen.

The ice made the most beautiful paterns.

The trees make a mirrow image on the ice. It was all very pretty.

Looking the opposite direction towards the next house down the river.

Here comes some pictures taken on the way down to Fort Collins. That road is so spectacular!

At some point turns and twists between the very rocky mountains.

The river runs quite fast down here and it looks like it froze in one second.

I wonder how on earth this tree can grow - there can hardly bee much soil to grow in!

One of the nice camp grounds along the road.

We stopped here to take pictures of the frozen water.

Looking up!

Jeff on the rocks.

Looks dangerous.

Looking down the river.

The road runs along side the river.

Nice looking piece of ice.

Look how even the small waterfall looks like it froze "in motion"!

More frozen waterfall

Jeff by the car.

Now we are down on the plain again.

On the last piece of road to Fort Collins.
